UX/UI for Virtual Reality

1. UX / UI and Sound design

Aim of the project

VR visit of a historical appartment of a nowadays demolished neighborhood of Montreal. The learner seeks information about the past through different objects in the room. The experience was made in collaboration with Jean-Phillipe Warren, Sociology teacher at the University of Concordia and it is currently being used in his course.

2. UX Research and Prototyping

Aim of the project

Reproduce a street environment in VR to help children with autism learn street crossing behaviors in a safe environment. The experience is meant to be interactive and gamified while adapting to the children cognitive sensitivies.

Skills learned during this project

-Researching the effects of immersive environments on children and young adults with ASD
- Translating the UX research findings to features and gaming mecanisms in VR
-Creating a design document from scratch.
- Unity prototyping the experience environment
